Best Ramen in Cary,NC is Noodle Blvd

Noodle Blvd is a small Asian jewel tucked away on Harrison Avenue and NW Maynard in Cary,NC. This ramen can turn any new customer into Naruto. Their use of fresh ingredients and gently cooked broth will leave you completely satisfied.

Casual Dining…

Noodle Blvd Cary,NC

The Noodle Blvd upon walking in greets you with the biggest smiles even when they are about to close. I arrived around 8:15pm and they close at 9pm. The restaurant is cozy with colorful chairs and tables. The tabletops come dressed with all the best soup condiments, napkins, and soup spoons.

The walls are filled with art and newspaper clippings that affirm their cooking accomplishments. The space fits no more than 30-40 people at one time. I sat at a four seater table in front of their long galley kitchen.

Let’s Talk Starter’s…

Bao (Pork Belly Bun)

I started with Bao (Pork Belly Bun) and Steamed Shrimp Shumai. Bao is pork belly, tangy bbq sauce, and lettuce on top of a steamed dough bun. Their Pork Belly Bun is a light, sweet, and savory handheld treat. The pork was cooked tender and not over seasoned. The tangy bbq sauce was the perfect compliment to the soft steamed dough. The lettuce was crisp and allowed additional texture to the dish. It had so much flavor that I ordered two.

Steamed Shrimp Shumai…

Steamed Shrimp Shumai

The steamed shrimp shumai is a dumpling filled with minced shrimp, scallions, garlic, onions etc. These small steamed dumplings were impressive. The dumplings were accompanied by a sweet and savory sauce. The dumpling shell was rolled out thin while it’s contents were packed.

The dumpling wrapper is so thin that you can see the inside prior to consumption. You can tell that the eatery takes great pride in how they make them by the presentation. I have had steamed shrimp dumplings before but I love how Noodle Blvd places an extra small shrimp on top. That is my favorite part of the dumpling and it makes it a must try when you visit.

The Ramen…

Bangkok Shrimp and Char Su

I had Bangkok Ramen with Shrimp and Char Su Pork. I also added extra meat (Pork Belly). The broth was clean and seasoned perfectly. It was not overly salted and I can see straight through the broth. Inside of the bowl were fresh beautifully green boy choy, scallions, beans sprouts, shrimp, char su pork, pork belly, fish cake, ramen, and topped with crispy wonton wrappers.

I like my ramen spicy so I added medium pepper flakes. The ramen was cooked with an amazing springy firm texture. I believe that they are making their noodles fresh or have found a brand with exceptional quality. It was truly a bowl of joy. The broth was made with god’s hands. This soup heaven seemed to use all the best ingredients to create the flavor profile for the overall dish. Every sip of the broth was enjoyable and the combination of it’s contents created new flavors with every bite. This dish is definitely not one note.

I would suggest trying the Bangkok Ramen when you visit the Noodle Blvd. It will keep you coming back for more. You never know, you may see me in the corner with a pair of chopsticks slurping on the those perfect noodles. If you do, just wave at me don’t interrupt this bowl is just that special. See you there!
